At SMAI Philippines, certain products offered on our website may be identified as MADE TO ORDER / PRE-ORDER. These products are not currently available in our local inventory and are not available for immediate delivery.
Customers should carefully review this policy and the availability status of a product before completing a purchase.
1. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Products on the SMAI Philippines website may generally be identified as:
ON HAND — The product is currently available in our local inventory, subject to stock availability at the time the order is processed.
MADE TO ORDER / PRE-ORDER — The product is not currently available in our local inventory and will be included in an upcoming SMAI Philippines purchase order with our supplier.
A Made-to-Order / Pre-Order designation should not be interpreted as an indication that the product is already in transit or will arrive by a particular date.
2. HOW MADE-TO-ORDER / PRE-ORDER PURCHASES WORK
SMAI Philippines consolidates Made-to-Order / Pre-Order purchases for inclusion in our next applicable supplier purchase order.
Our supplier purchase orders are placed according to our ordering requirements and schedules. This means there may be a waiting period between the date the customer places an order and the date SMAI Philippines submits the applicable purchase order to our supplier.
After the supplier order has been placed, the product may also need to be manufactured, prepared, processed, and shipped to the Philippines.
The overall process may therefore include:
- waiting for the next applicable SMAI Philippines supplier purchase order;
- supplier processing and product availability;
- factory production or preparation;
- international freight and transportation;
- customs clearance and processing; and
- local transportation and receipt by SMAI Philippines.
Once the product has been received and is ready for release, the customer will be contacted regarding the applicable shipping or delivery arrangements.
3. NO GUARANTEED FULFILLMENT OR DELIVERY DATE
Made-to-Order / Pre-Order products do not have a guaranteed fulfillment, arrival, or delivery date.
As a general guide, the ordering and fulfillment process may take approximately two to three months and, in some circumstances, longer.
The two-to-three-month period is provided only to help customers understand the possible waiting period. It is not a promise, commitment, or guarantee that the product will arrive within two or three months.
The actual waiting period may depend on when SMAI Philippines places its next supplier purchase order, supplier availability, factory production schedules, international freight, customs processing, transportation, and other circumstances outside the direct control of SMAI Philippines.
4. IMPORTANT — PRODUCTS NEEDED FOR A TOURNAMENT OR SPECIFIC DATE
If you need a product immediately or require it for a specific tournament, competition, event, travel date, or other deadline, please DO NOT purchase the product as Made to Order / Pre-Order.
Customers should not place a Pre-Order based on an assumption that the product will arrive in time for a particular tournament, competition, event, or other scheduled activity.
SMAI Philippines cannot commit to or guarantee that a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product will arrive before any particular date, even when the requested date falls within the general two-to-three-month period described above.
If you require a product by a specific date, we recommend purchasing an ON-HAND product that is currently available or contacting SMAI Philippines before ordering to determine whether a suitable On-Hand alternative is available.
By proceeding with a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order purchase, the customer acknowledges that they are prepared to wait for the product without relying upon a specific arrival or delivery date.
5. PAYMENT
Payment for a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product confirms the customer’s order for that product and allows it to be included in the applicable upcoming supplier purchase order.
Payment for the product does not guarantee a particular fulfillment or delivery date.
Shipping and delivery charges are separate from the product price unless specifically stated otherwise and will be handled in accordance with our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
6. ORDERS CONTAINING BOTH ON-HAND AND PRE-ORDER PRODUCTS
An order may contain both On-Hand and Made-to-Order / Pre-Order products.
The availability of an On-Hand product does not change or shorten the waiting period for a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product.
SMAI Philippines may contact the customer regarding available shipping or delivery arrangements for mixed orders.
If the customer requests separate shipment of the On-Hand products before the Pre-Order products become available, additional shipping or delivery charges may apply.
7. SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Once a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product has been received by SMAI Philippines and is ready for release, the applicable shipping or delivery charge will be determined based on the final package, destination, and available courier or delivery service.
The applicable shipping or delivery charge must be paid before the order is dispatched.

8. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description, size, color, quantity, price, and availability status before completing payment.
A request to cancel because the customer:
- did not notice that the product was identified as Made to Order / Pre-Order;
- no longer wishes to wait for the product;
- expected the product to arrive by a particular tournament, competition, event, travel date, or other deadline;
- changed their mind; or
- ordered the incorrect product, size, color, or quantity
will be considered a customer-requested cancellation.
Cancellation and refund requests will be reviewed and handled in accordance with our Order Cancellation, Return & Refund Policy and applicable Philippine consumer protection laws.
Where a refund for a customer-requested cancellation is approved, actual payment-processing fees that are not returned to SMAI Philippines by the payment processor may be deducted from the refund to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. POSSIBLE DELAYS
Because Made-to-Order / Pre-Order products depend on future purchase orders, supplier availability, production, international transportation, and customs processing, delays may occur.
Possible causes of delays may include supplier availability, factory production schedules, international freight schedules, customs processing, transportation disruptions, holidays, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside the direct control of SMAI Philippines.
SMAI Philippines will make reasonable efforts to process and fulfill orders as products become available. However, we cannot guarantee a particular arrival or delivery date for a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product.
10. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By purchasing a product identified as MADE TO ORDER / PRE-ORDER, the customer acknowledges and accepts that:
- the product is not currently available in our local inventory;
- the product is not available for immediate delivery;
- the product will be included in an upcoming SMAI Philippines supplier purchase order;
- the timing of that purchase order may affect the overall waiting period;
- the ordering and fulfillment process may take approximately two to three months or potentially longer;
- the two-to-three-month period is provided as a general guide only and is not a promise, commitment, or guaranteed timeframe;
- no specific fulfillment, arrival, or delivery date is guaranteed;
- the customer is not relying upon the product arriving in time for a particular tournament, competition, event, travel date, or other deadline;
- if the customer requires the product by a specific date, the customer should not purchase it as a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product;
- fulfillment may be affected by supplier availability, production, international freight, customs, transportation, and other circumstances outside the direct control of SMAI Philippines; and
- shipping and delivery charges are separate unless specifically stated otherwise.
Customers purchasing a Made-to-Order / Pre-Order product may also be required at checkout to expressly acknowledge these conditions before completing payment.
11. APPLICABLE CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive, restrict, or override any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable Philippine consumer protection laws.
Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection requirement, the applicable law shall prevail.
